Rope skipping is a traditional Indian sport that has gained popularity in the sports industry over time. It is no longer just a game played by girls as a leisure activity; it has evolved into a professional sport in which players demonstrate their endurance as well as their skills in State, National and international championships. Individual and team events are included in the game, allowing players to demonstrate their individuality as well as teamwork and creativity.
The Rope Skipping Federation of India (RSFI) is the governing body for this sport in the country. Students can compete in CBSE Nationals, SGFI (School Games Federation of India) State and National championships, Delhi Olympics and RSFI State, National and International Championships directly from here.
ROPE SKIPPING GAME is Included in many units:
- Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
- School Games Federation Of India (SGFI)
- Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Kendriya Vidyalya Sangthan (KVS)
- Navodaya Vidyalya Samiti (NVS)
- Vidya Bharti chain of schools
The above mentioned organization/units conduct Regional & National every year. In some states rope skipping game has been given recognition by State Olympic Association such as UK, UP, J&K and Delhi. Sports Authority of India (SAI) has also conducted a camp of rope skipping game.
